Jesus Mora Noguez was born in 1971 in Naucalpan de Juarez, State of Mexico, a suburb near Mexico City. In 1995 he studied drawing and painting in “Casa de la Cultura de Chapultepec”, Mexico. During a trip to Oaxaca he got involved with Antonio Mandarin who taught him the technique to make “alebrijes”. Two years later he started his studies in Toronto School of Art and Ontario College of Art & Design in Canada. Then, in 2002 he studied for 8 months in Florence, Italy where could extend his knowledge in sculpture and art history. Nowadays he lives and works in Toronto and his constant artistic and cultural exchange between Mexico and Canada conform an important source for future projects.
