Silvia Damar Radvansky

Silvia was born and educated in Popayan, Colombia. She has a degree in Visual Arts, from the University of Cauca, Popayan Colombia. She has lived in Mississauga, Ontario since 1987. She has participated in various solo and group exhibitions. She has had painting accepted in various juried shows. She has been an active member of the Clarkson Society of Artists, in Mississauga, for 15 years and member of Image Matrix Printmakers of Mississauga for 2 years.

Acrylic, mixed media and print are the techniques that Silvia Damar uses to express herself. Some times she works with figurative images and other times with abstracts. She believes that art is a simple pathway to knowing and healing ourselves, to see ourselves in symbolic form and communicate through the language of visual harmony. For this reason her art work is a continuous study about concept and technique.
